All my spoons are in all the right places, if you know what I'm talkin' about...

Day 15 of NHBPM is to nominate a blogger for a WEGO Health Activist Award!

So, I have nominated quick a few people for WEGO awards so far this week!  I keep thinking of more people so this list will not reflect everyone that deserves to be nominated by a long shot!

So the first person I nominated is the oh-so-lovely and gorgeous Jules of WhatTheJules.  I nominated her for the Best in Show: Community/Forum because her ability to connect people in a positive way from all over the world with chronic illnesses is amazing to me.  Her use of social media (twitter, Google +, paper.li, facebook) is so welcoming and her writing is always a healthy mix of informative and humorous.  I have so much respect for this woman and will always follow everything she does!

I also nominated Tumblr user FuckYeahMedicalStuff for the award of Best in Show: Blog.  This person is not (to my knowledge) a medical professional but rather an enthusiast who simply loves to spread medical knowledge for the sake of basking in it’s sheer awesomeness!  S/He always is sure to cite sources and include (sometimes graphic) images of the conditions and procedures they write about, and they loyally update to fill requests of those who want to understand a specific condition better.  Definitely one of the coolest health blogs out there!

For the award of Hilarious Health Activist Award, I nominated the Chronic Illness Cat Tumblr.  It’s a simple meme blog, and the individual entries are hit or miss (some have me out of breath laughing, others not so much) but the blog itself exists to shed just a bit of humor on an otherwise dreary subject and that is absolutely amazing!
